The 80's Channel Swallow

Model: The 80's Channel Swallow

These boards are exact capture of a point in time in Pipedream's incredibly long history. “The 80’s Channel Swallow” board was a QLD version of the new thruster design by Simon Anderson in the very early eighties. At the time we were big on channels as we had the clean long walls that are perfect for this type of bottom shape so it was a functional additive for a QLD thruster. This board may be a great alternative for the fish board that most of us have in our quiver.

Model: Late Seventies Twinnies

These twinnies are an accurate copy of the twin fins I was into just before Simon Anderson changed our world with the three fin Thruster. The only change is to thin them down a little as the originals were as thick as a brick.

The nose lifts and tail lifts are spot on as is the fluted flyer which became very popular at the height of the twinny era. You need not be a retro head to enjoy these models as they are as quick and loose as any contemporary thruster designs of today.

The best fin result with this design is the glass MR twin fin. All boards have FCS plugs which run that fin.
