Bourton Shapes "QUAD
GALLERY"
The Bat Fish has taught me the workings of such a complicated fin
configuration and has encouraged me to move the quad into
more contemporary surfboards and even tow boards. Check out the 7 Current Quad Categories below...

THE FUN FISH QUADS
|
The Fun Fish Quad models are designed to get
on rail quick and burn rubber in small waves; and these quads do
that exceptionally well.

THE STANDARD QUADS
|
With all the success I have had with my Hybrid quads, I
have been encouraged to get involved with a more standard
board with 4 fins. Now I am confident with fin positions
I think I can add new dimensions to the desire for more speed
and looseness which seems to be everybody’s Holy Grail.
I have decided to include a channel bottom quad as well to give those power junkies a little more to push off.

THE HIGH PERFORMANCE QUADS |
A narrower nose, more tail area and curve in planshape as well as tail rocker will send a board more vertical and this basically describes the new HPQ.
The Standard Quad is a speed driver and the HPQ is a wippet in the pocket - the best way to explain their difference.
If any quad designs are going to attract the radar of some of the pros then this one should.

THE BIG BOY QUADS |
The Big Boy Quad is simply a blown up of the Standard Quads and should have been available earlier as the guys who are big enough to ride these designs are the ones that need them the most.
At this point I have put in 3 different lengths:
1. 6'6 x 20 x 2' 1/2
2. 6'8 x 20' ½ x 2' 5/8
3. 6'10 x 21 x 2' 3/4

THE BIG BAT QUADS
|
The Big Bat Quad design is another one of my many four fin applications aimed at those that need a paddler and a performer.
The inclusion of the diamond bat tail is a breakthrough in short arc and central control design. The diamond shortens the rail line allowing the board to turn a fraction earlier and the elongated pin of the bat gives a centre finless board something central to gauge from rail to rail.

THE GUN QUADS
|
It stands to reason that if guys are riding 30 ft waves on quad tow boards then it’s not too cheeky to suggest that for 10 to 15 ft waves a quad gun could also deliver and maybe more than a thruster gun.
The quad gun will be offered in 7'4, 7'2, and 7'0 but can be customized to suit.

THE TOW QUADS
|
If you are not aware of what has been happening in tow world then it may come as a surprise that the quads are dominating in the line up in Hawaii and northern California.
By all reports the quads are heaps faster due to the fact that quads have more fin on the rail and tow boards spend more time on their rails because they are so narrow and are always in drive mode.
